Business letters, yay!

Kristi and Maya met at Surf City Coffee today to write out the business letters to mail out asking for donations. We thought of some businesses to mail the letters to and we are planning on sending them out some time early next week. k bye!

Got aproved to do bake sale!

Yesterday we did the proper paperwork to have a bake sale at school and turned it in. Today Gabe called me and told me that we could do the bake sale!!! wooo...! Tommorow we are having a bake sale from 12PM to 3PM in the quad!!

Everyone was here...Yay!

Today we did our presentation/activity. We all agree that it went really well and the activity was very fun. We noticed an increase in success from those that used the methods discussed in our presentation the second time around for the activity. Great Job girls! See everyone next thursday!

Moving Bake Sale......... BRILLIANT!

So today we had a bake sale. But our back sale wasn't like other peoples bake sales...... ours MOVED!!!!
We brought the bake sale to the people instead of the people coming to the bake sale. It was really fun and successful. We sold cupcakes, cookies, brownies and hot chocolate. We made about $85..........SWEET DEAL!!!!

Emily wasn't here today but she informed us last week so all is well.
We were able to finish our leadership presentation. Maya is going to make a powerpoint to show to the class and Alessandra is going to make the handout that we are going to give to the class. We are plaing on having a bake sale tomorrow 11.5.2008. We are going to be hanging around Skyes' classes so come on down! We will be there from around 1:30-2:30! Also everyone is going to make something:

Emily, Maya and Kristi met at Eric's Deli... We were able to plan out our leadership presentation; we are planning on using a PowerPoint to express the main ideas we chose from our leadership book. We were also able to make a list of different fundraising ideas. First, we thought about doing a couple of bake sales at different locations, such as Cabrillo, or farmers market. We would also like to send out a short letter explaining what we are trying to do, to see if we can get a couple of sponsors. Finally, we want to see if we can find artists, at Cabrillo, willing to donate a piece of art they created so that we can hold an art silent auction.
